Life and Biography

Born in Mexico City on July 1, 1967

At an early age his family moved to Paris, France and Then to United States by the work of his Father an engineer, teacher and renown artist

So, Daniel Pavon Cuellar learned French , Spanish and English at an early age of his life.

Daniel Pavon Cuellar began painting at around 13 Years old, this is a sample of some of the first Paintings he ever made.

His name was too long to sign the Art, and his signature impossible to paint and therefore he took the first two initials of his name and named himself as an artist DAPACU.

Daniel Pavon Cuellar continue to paint as a hobby and for the beauty and research of beauty in all forms and his art kept on evolving in three different styles.

Where Daniel lived, he would paint, regardless where.

Forever an artist in all of the ways. Daniel Pavon Cuellar with a very unique style of seeing, perhaps identifiable only to Daniel Pavon Cuellar and the main talent is to be visual to details.

Daniel Pavon Cuellar says he has only one talent, self-thought through observation and imagination.

Daniel Pavon Cuellar known by his multidimensional art or Art Dapacu:

While Daniel Pavon Cuellar lived in Mexico he went to the University Anahuac for Architecture but his passion was oceanography.

On 1987 Daniel Pavon Cuellar moved to Michigan, Grand Rapids Michigan, and from there to different cities in the United States, including California, New York, Florida, Chicago, Texas etc…

While in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Daniel Pavon Cuellar worked as waiter, for Pietros restaurant, Daniel Pavon Cuellar claims that Pietros was the best restaurant , Italian restaurant he ever tasted in his life, the best of the best, people drove from Chicago to eat the Chicago style pizzas of Pietros, huge thick and heavy, amazingly perfect taste all the food and great little town, Grand Rapids Michigan, He remembers the best Italian restaurant ever best food ever and with the whole meaning that no other restaurant has a better Italian food and pizzas that Daniel Pavon Cuellar tried.

Also worked as Making Pizzas and delivering pizzas for good time’s pizza and then delivering pizzas for dominos Pizza. In the middle of teh winter storms!

On 1989 he work for Club Med, including the clubs Med of Ixtapa, Club Med Playa Blanca, Club Med Cancun, Club Med Huatulco.

Starting in the miny club (Taking care of children between 5 to 8) then to a sailing instructor, windsurf instructor, kayak instructor and also in the shows of club med.

Great, food in buffets, and room free and working in something great on the beach, sailing instructor!

After he left, when to visit his friends he met in Club Med,

On 1990 He opened a Restaurant named Dapacu , in Mexico City in the Street of Monterrey, a Fonda, tiny.

On 1991 He marries Victoria Pappas, the neighbor of the room of Daniel Pavon Cuellar on Club Med Huatulco.

Then moves to Dallas Texas, and they open a little gallery, and Daniel Pavon Cuellar paints large paintings in wood.

From there Victoria and Daniel move to Austin Texas,
Daniel Pavon Cuellar becomes a real estate agent , and find great deals, and his parents bough a property they wished to retired to. Gorgeous with waterfalls and views 18 minutes to the capitol

A MULTIDIMENSIONAL ART , 3D, NIGHT CLUB WITH A CAVE, IN FAMOUS SIXTH STREET AUSTIN TEXAS.
Opened by Daniel pavon Cuellar in Austin Texas

Planet Austin Opened on 505 E Sixth Street in Austin Texas was a night club of nearly 5000 sq ft that Dapacu painted all with murals, all with Fluorescent Paintings and heads sculpted in the walls. On the back of the club Dapacu Built a cave, handmade by himself that took 9 months to built, also fluorescent.

The cave seat only 12 people within 4 caves and a waterfall next to the bar.

Different music then the rest of the bar.

The cave was small, in fact was the office before, but, the office was moved to a closet, since after all, fit the desk.

Then at the door of the club you could buy 3D Glasses, that you could see the whole place in 3D.

It was an interesting mix, a night club that you will see all in 3D!

The place made lines and attracted all types of people, they love the place and staff, a great staff each of them great people, each a person that made the place Planet Austin

Planet Austin , became very well known,

Great famous actors got to see it, like the man of politically incorrect

Planet Austin was in the place, the famous capitol of the world and famous Sixth street, 505 Sixth Street, Fat Tuesdays was across the street and the place was nearly 5ooo sq feet, all types of lights, all set by Daniel Pavon Cuellar.

The place would be change each week as the transformation of the whole place finally took place around the 4 year of been open.
Fish Floating from the ceiling, and a huge dance floor previously for Texas style bar dance.

Daniel Pavon Cuellar made all under black light, all fluorescent and all dimensional, and with a cave.

The amount of creativity was daily, and Daniel Pavon Cuellar ended painting all walls nearly 4 year later, the cave lasted 9 months to build working daily and pouring concrete by hand.

Heads carved out of the walls, Planet Austin was a great Place, which then, bought Daniel his homestead

Daniel Pavon Cuellar spend 7 years painting the walls in his homestead, and 10 years of planting trees and gardens that surrounded the nearly one thousand years oaks, that the whole wildlife would visit and all types of birds, raccoons, hawks , owls, a world in a tree, the garden was unique

Indeed the home, even the floors were painted, the walls, even the garage, kitchen and all, even the furniture, antiques painted.
The life of Daniel Pavon Cuellar can be described as painting all and loving beauty and always love within nature and its balance.

In trip to Europe Daniel Pavon Cuellar had Made, back packing around Europe, he could not carry canvasses, or a place to paint, but all hotel rooms have paintings, therefore each place where Daniel passed the night, he would retouch any of the paintings in each of the hotels, and sign next to the other signature Dapacu.

Dapacu said: White is all, I like better, much better to see and work with all of its parts and enjoy the rainbow of its colors, and effect of its parts. Interacting with the sight and our mind and feeling and even under the UV Black light.”

Once Daniel Pavon Cuellar close Planet Austin Met Samantha Lowry in a Trip to Puerto Vallarta Mexico, Daniel ended staying in Puerto Vallarta two months, instead of two weeks.

On 1995 a restaurant named “The Secret Garden”,

The Secret Garden was on 5^th Street also in Austin Texas, and was a large parking lot with a very old caboose of a train. A great canvas !

The landlord the best landlord, smart. She said change all except do not move or change the outside of the caboose, but was nicely painted. All thorough out in glossy finish, took a year to paint before it opened, a large waterfall instead of parking and a garden with tables outside and by the road next door full of cars, place on garden speakers the sound of the sea and jungles, the sea matching the similarity of the car sound passing by. Only a cheese and wine bar, between a garden,
Dapacu Painted also all the inside of this caboose and the parking lot turned into a beautiful garden with trees. Because it was next to a busy street (5^th Street in Austin) music could not be heard in a peaceful way, therefore Dapacu played tapes of nature including the ocean that is similar to the sound of cars passing by. In the secret Garden, he will serve only cheese, bread and wine and was the pre-place before Planet Austin would open.

They were open only Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and therefore Dapacu had the rest of the time to Paint.

Then Daniel Pavon Cuellar around 1996 open a tortilla factory that made Tortillas from scratch

On 1997 Dapacu bought his homestead at 7005 Whispering Creek, Austin Texas. Once he sought the two huge oaks over 500 years old spreading the branches for nearly 50 feet, he did not see the house inside, he immediately place the offer and was taken.

From there on, Dapacu started painting all the walls of his homestead and making a Japanese Dapacu style garden. Dapacu bought over one hundred trees for his garden and made also waterfalls handmade and all shaped by hand.

On 1999 He closed Planet Austin and all his businesses and dedicated himself to paint.

On 2002 Dapacu met “Samantha Lowry”, On a trip he took to Puerto Vallarta Mexico, they met, and his trip from two weeks ended in two months.

Somehow, the paintings Dapacu had made in the past, they looked like her, and things happened so by serendipity that seemed she was the woman of his dreams and turn to be the love of his life and believed was meant to be;

Dapacu

On 2003 Dapacu moved to Playa del Carmen Mexico, and he opened an hotel, Bar and restaurant with a little bar, the hotel had only 14 rooms, inside had two pyramids and a replica in carved rock of the Aztec Calendar, real size, pure carved rock made by the owner of the place Carlos, a great Man, funny and smart

Amazing place, cheap rent, like a miracle and a beautiful canvas, 12 rooms. Divided by 8 rooms and one suite, one art gallery, one bar, one restaurant with an stage and Aztec or other shows. 6 suites, two blocks from the best beach of playa del Carmen, Mamitas, the party in Playa was nice.

Playa del Carmen small, with few natives and all the remaining tourist changing weekly or so on

And of course, Dapacu painted every room, every wall, and made the place a work of art and even the front of the Hotel.

He named the place “El Artista”

Dapacu was fully happy in Playa del Carmen, a great Caribbean little town, with tourism from all over the world and the hotel two blocks from the beach and in the main Avenida Quinta.

Dapacu continue to paint and his art continue to evolve into a very, very unique style.

What could be said to be, the most complicated Art you will ever see.
The art has the effects of stereogram’s, they are mostly oil paintings, some acrylics, and in other media. In fact, Dapacu Paints in every media and in every surface.

Dapacu said “ Every surface has its own effects and every paint as well, they behave different and therefore the effects are also different, nevertheless, wood is my favorite because the surface is natural and variable, wood has inspired me in my art as much as the trees and nature have, because the beauty is perfect, the details in nature are amazing, ever changing, a miracle or perfection in every dimension and detail, a beauty that took millions of years to create for our enjoyment.”

Dapacu also got into photography in his early years, and had a collection of over 10000 photos from all his trips, nature and more.

Dapacu love to travel all over the world, since to know and to see, is the best way to expand your imagination and inspiration, but above all, he like the sea.

During his trips to Europe, he went searching for art like his, but none found.

Dapacu Said: “ The difference between 3D and Multidimensional is, in 3D you have one point of escape, in Multidimensional, you have several points of escape.

I make the paintings with patterns which each, creates a larger and smaller figure, with several points of escape. That way, and also using stereogram techniques, and hologram effects, each creates a unique effect and results.”

It may take you some time to discover the patterns that will take you to see the paintings multidimensional, and not everyone can.

The way it happens is you almost see something and you lose it, then you kind of see more, and more and more until suddenly your brain begins to see the patterns and different dimensions that themselves turn to more patterns and more dimensions and you are past the 3D dimension.
